With the swagger, northern accents, dance beats and catchy guitar licks, you’d be forgiven for thinking you’re reading this circa 1990. But ALEXANDR are as French as a Gauloises cigarette, more Sexy Boy than Champagne Supernova, and their sound is Parisian-chic and entirely now. With roots in 90s Indie, this half-French, half-British trio have honed their craft into a slick soundscape of electro-infused pop pleasantry.

Following two critically acclaimed EPs ‘You Won’t Get Another Chance’ and ‘Surrender’, ALEXANDR will be releasing their first album ‘Aloners To The World’ mixed by Adrian Bushby (New Order, Foo Fighters, The Enemy, Muse, Young Guns…) in May 2023.

‘1996’ is the first single and was released on 18 November. An ode to the decade that saw them grow up? Who knows… There's no messing around here though, from the killer chorus to the guitar hook that will haunt you long after you’ve removed your earphones.

Dégaines de lads, electro beats et guitares en avant, on pourrait aisément croire qu'on parle d'un groupe tout droit sorti du Manchester des années 90. Pourtant ALEXANDR sont tout aussi français qu'un paquet de Gauloises, plus Sexy Boy que Champagne Supernova, et leur son se veut résolument actuel. Fermement ancré dans un héritage venu d'outre-manche, ce trio franco-anglais a perfectionné l'art de livrer des merveilles de mélodies pop sans jamais renier leur ADN indé.

Après deux premiers EP ‘You Won’t Get Another Chance’ et ‘Surrender’ chaudement accueillis par la critique (Rolling Stone, Longueur d'Ondes…), leur premier album ‘Aloners To The World’ mixé par Adrian Bushby (New Order, Foo Fighters, The Enemy, Muse, Young Guns…) est attendu pour mai 2023.

‘1996’ en est le premier single sorti le 18 novembre. Ode à la décennie qui les a vus grandir ? Who knows… Une chose est sûre, ALEXANDR annonce d’emblée la couleur avec un refrain imparable et un gimmick de guitare qui vous hantera longtemps après avoir retiré vos écouteurs.
